The Lead Welder and Fabricator designs and creates welding projects primarily in the shop, with occasional field work. This role involves rebuilding compaction equipment and requires learning and retaining product-specific information. Key responsibilities include designing, laying out, and fabricating steel components and structures from drawings and prints, leveraging strong production and welding experience. As SWS is a refuse company, the candidate must be prepared to work on refuse equipment, including trash trucks, septic trucks, street sweepers, and other related machinery.

Example of Duties:
  • Ensure Health & Safety is the top priority by adhering to all policies, processes, and safety protocols.
  • Perform basic MIG/PAW welding of steel.
  • Use judgment in selecting repair methods, equipment, and materials for assignments.
  • Prepare, inspect, clean, diagnose, and repair all welding-related equipment and materials.
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, and reshaping components.
  • Weld components in various positions, including flat, vertical, downhill, or overhead.
  • Order and negotiate with metal and hardware suppliers.
  • Perform work in compliance with all safe work procedures, guidelines, practices, permits, and air monitoring requirements.

The Service Manager will lead and inform our customers while supervising the shop. This role requires a hands-on leader with a solid understanding of heavy equipment to manage daily operations in a manufacturing, production, and customer-focused environment. Responsibilities may take place both on-site and in the shop. The ideal candidate will quickly learn and retain product-specific information and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety. The Field Service Technician is responsible for system and component installations, repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance and retrofits to customers’ equipment or machinery. Primary job duties include account identification and planning, prospecting strategy, and executing the sales process into regional prospects and opportunities. A successful Account Executive will be excellent at their daily activities/ time management, pipeline acceleration, customer adoption and customer support. The AE will rapidly revive and re-energize our existing customer base within Northwestern Washington and expand into the target markets in Northwestern Washington, which are Municipal, State, and Large Commercial accounts that are users of the SWS product offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

SWS requires an account executive who can identify and prioritize potential customers and develop the tactics and resources needed to bring them to fruition. This executive will need to actively lead this function in an effective, hands-on, aggressive manner.
